Our Bohemian Melbourne Walk
Ever wanted to know where the first of Melbourne's bohemians would congregate, why Marcus Clarke died penniless and the infamy of Dulcie Deamer?
This tour explores some of Melbourne's most fascinating bohemian figures and places of significance as well as the today lesser-known heritage of Marcus Clarke. We examine some of the key writers - intellectuals like Germaine Greer and Nick Cave, novelists, painters and entertainers such as Arthur Streeton, Vali Myers, Barry Humphries and Mirka Mora.
Along the way we will explore some of the key places associated with the post-war bohemian scene, introduce some lesser-known figures and stories as well as complimenting the afternoon with tea and hot scones.
